Build 2 Lead

Build 2 Lead is a community-based organization operating an integrated youth development system that combines civic leadership, workforce pathways, health equity, and trauma-informed wellness to transform outcomes for BIPOC youth and young adults across South King County.

Build 2 Lead was created because leadership without wellness is fragile, opportunity without access is incomplete, and systems change without youth power is unsustainable. Our model exists to do what fragmented systems cannot—support young people as whole human beings while building pathways that last. Our values are to Empower, Engage, and Educate the communities we work with through four critical pillars. Civic Leadership & Policy Literacy, Workforce & Economic Mobility, Health Equity & Wellness, and Systems Partnerships & Legacy Infrastructure. Our core demographic is Black and Brown youth ages 11-24 with Legacy initiatives that impact ages 25 and older.
