SEPTA Youth Advisory Council

The SEPTA Youth Advisory Council is an independent nonprofit that aims to make public transit the preferred method of transportation among young people in the Southeastern Pennsylvania Region. We work to achieve this goal through advocacy, education, and outreach.

As a fully youth led organization, we strive to center the voices of our peers in conversations about the future of transit in our region. The YAC provides strategic feedback to SEPTA, transit education in the form of online content, legislative tracking in Harrisburg, amplifies young voices on transit, and advocates for UPass on college campuses. We envision a Philadelphia region where transit access is affordable, equitable, and easy for every single young person.
