SEPTA Youth Advisory Council

The SEPTA Youth Advisory Council is an independent nonprofit that aims to make public transit the preferred method of transportation among young people in the Southeastern Pennsylvania Region. We work to achieve this goal through advocacy, education, and outreach.

As a fully youth led organization, we strive to center young voices in conversations about the future of transit in the Philly region. The YAC provides strategic feedback to SEPTA, transit education in the form of online content, legislative research, and advocacy for UPass on college campuses all in the name of amplifying young voices. We envision a Philadelphia region where transit access is affordable, equitable, and easy for every single young person to use.
