Chautauqua-Wawasee

Our mission is to provide life-enriching experiences with the goal of making Syracuse and the region a great place to visit, live, work and raise a family.

Located in North Central Indiana, Chautauqua-Waasee provides quality programming based on our four pillars of: Arts, Education. Faith and Receration. A majority of our programs are free to attend or low cost for workshops. There are three part-time emplpoyees, a 10-member Board of Directors and more than 80 volunteers working collaborately to provide programs for Syracuse and the region.

According to the 2020 census - Syracuse had a population of 3,079. The median age was 39.8 years. 22.9% of residents were under the age of 18 and 17.4% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 99.5 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 95.6 males age 18 and over.
