Heart of Gold Shelter fosters economic independence for women impacted by domestic violence and incarceration by equipping them with essential clothing, job readiness tools, and personalized support to ease their transition into the workforce and rebuild their lives with dignity.

Purpose/Goal:

To foster economic independence for women impacted by domestic violence, incarceration, or homelessness by providing job readiness tools, professional attire, and holistic support for workforce reentry and long-term self-sufficiency.

Target/Priority Population:

• Who: Women emerging from shelters, incarceration, or situations of domestic violence
• Where: Local communities served by Heart of Gold Shelter
• Why: These women often face barriers such as lack of professional clothing, low self-confidence, minimal employment history, and unstable housing that impede successful workforce reintegration.
