The Philip Foster Farm preserves and explains the history of the Oregon Trail and Barlow Road through Living History, hands-on tours and annual events, linking the past to the present for schoolchildren, families and adults of all ages.
The five-acre farm site includes original and reproduction buildings of 1847-1920 vintage from the family of Philip Foster, who helped establish and maintain the Barlow road, welcoming thousands of wagon train emigrants, helping them establish farms and businesses, and guaranteeing the success of Oregon as a US state.
Tours are given April through October to schoolchildren, adults and families. The farm is open daily from Father's Day to Labor Day 11-4:00, as well as Saturdays in May, September and October. Living history day camps are offered in July and August.
