Global Climate and Health Alliance

  • Mission

The climate crisis is a health crisis, and GCHA works to unite health professionals, researchers, NGOs, and policymakers worldwide to drive urgent climate action that safeguards public health and restores the planet.

    About Us

The Global Climate and Health Alliance (GCHA) is a global network of over 200 health, climate, and development organisations across 125+ countries, united by the belief that the climate crisis is a health crisis. Our mission is to mobilise the global health community to accelerate climate action that protects and improves health for all.

We are guided by values of health equity, evidence-based advocacy, collaboration, and systems change. GCHA works with health professionals, researchers, NGOs, policymakers, and community leaders worldwide to ensure that health remains central to climate policy and action.

Our work supports communities most affected by climate-related health risks, including those facing air pollution, heat-related illness, food insecurity, and climate-driven displacement. Through research, policy engagement, strategic communications, and movement-building, we serve the global health community and the public in pursuit of a healthier, more sustainable future.
