Sarah's Circle (Chicago)
Mission
Sarah’s Circle provides a full continuum of services for women, including housing, life necessities, and supportive services, to help them permanently end their homelessness. Sarah’s Circle envisions a safe and secure home for every woman in Chicago.
About Us
Sarah's Circle is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending homelessness for women in Chicago. Founded in 1979 by three women in the Uptown neighborhood, it was created as a safe and welcoming space for women experiencing homelessness.
Over the years, the organization has grown to offer a range of services, including a drop-in center and both short-term and permanent housing. We provide services to individuals who identify as female and are 18 years of age or older. Our programs utilize the Housing First model, have no barriers to entry, and use a trauma-informed approach. We approach this work with three overarching goals:
- We welcome all women with safety, respect, and community.
- Support women’s growth in all aspects of wellness: physical, emotional, life skills, economic, and the realization of their unique potential.
- Help each woman find her home.
