Founded in 1995, Idealist’s mission is to help build a world where all people can lead free and dignified lives by inviting people everywhere to imagine, connect, and act.
For over 25 years, Idealist has been a leading resource for the social impact sector. More than 150,000 organizations use our platform to post jobs, internships, volunteer opportunities, and events. Over 1.7 million individuals have created accounts on our site, with 10,000 more joining every week. Idealist is also available in Spanish and Portuguese.
In addition to the vast array of opportunities posted on Idealist, we offer free tools for social impact professionals, such as our Nonprofit Salary Explorer and our popular Career Advice Blog.
We have hosted more than 250 Graduate School Fairs, where prospective students can explore hundreds of graduate programs and learn about the admissions process, financial aid, and more.
We also support grassroots action, helping people launch their big ideas through the Idealist Action Incubator, as well as other events and resources designed to inspire action.
