    Step Up Tutoring drives student success by providing virtual high-impact tutoring and mentorship to 2nd-6th grade students in under-resourced communities. We recruit and train mission-driven tutors to work with students one-on-one, pairing adaptive learning technology with individualized support to drive academic gains, boost habits of success, and foster positive relationships.

    About Us

    Step Up Tutoring is a non-profit organization that drives student success in under-resourced communities by providing free virtual tutoring and mentorship to elementary school students. Step Up recruits, trains, and supports tutors to deliver virtual high-impact tutoring for students in grades 2nd-6th.

    Responsibilities:

    • Tutor 1-on-1 twice a week via an online video platform; each session is 45 minutes
    • Live training sessions to prepare you for tutoring — no prior experience required
    • Focus on building fundamental math and literacy skills using evidence-based online programs

    Requirements:

    • Must be 16 or over
    • Must reside in the US
    • Mandatory background check
    • Access to the internet and a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone
    • Minimum commitment of 12 weeks
