  • Mission

The mission of Lakeshore Keepers is to preserve, promote, educate the public, and make our lighthouses accessible to all. Volunteers are our strength and are encouraged to play active roles in our program. Our volunteers have the opportunity to stay for a week long tour or to work as a Day Keeper. We would love to have you volunteer at one of our five lighthouses: Manistee North Pierhead Light, Big Sable Point, Ludington North Breakwater light, Little Sable Point or White River Light Station.

    About Us

By employing over 300 resident lighthouse keepers, we at Lakeshore Keepers are able to preserve, promote, educate the public, and make the lighthouses open to the global community.
