    Spend a Week at the Lighthouse This Summer

    Lakeshore Keepers is seeking Resident Lighthouse Keepers to assist at our Lake Michigan lighthouses during the summer season. This is a unique opportunity to support historic preservation while spending time at some of Michigan’s most iconic locations. We provide lodging

    💡 No prior experience is required. Training will be provided.

    📅 Week-long opportunities are available at:

    • Ludington North Breakwater Light

    🕰️ Tour hours: Tuesday–Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

    We welcome individuals who enjoy history, lighthouses, and engaging with the public.

    How to Volunteer for This Opportunity

    Please fill out the volunteer application found at our website. Once placed at a lighthouse, you will be asked for two letters of recommendation, a short resume with volunteer experience and complete a background check. Volunteers do pay for this experience with a membership to Lakeshore Keepers and a Keepers fee ($90 for a single person and $150 for a couple).
