Mission
WePAC’s mission is to promote childhood literacy by engaging volunteers in Philadelphia public schools through re-opening and staffing libraries and academic mentoring. In our vision, every Philadelphia student will be empowered with the literacy skills vital to the success of the child and the prosperity of our community.
About Us
WePAC re-opens and staffs volunteer-run libraries in Philadelphia public elementary schools. WePAC volunteers can serves in a variety of functions. Library Team Members work together during regular school hours to host library sessions that support classroom learning. Every session includes a storytime and book check out for students. Library Cataloguers can work behind the scenes and at a varitey of school libraries cataloguing additions to our collections. If you are not sure how you'd like to volunteer with WePAC email katelin@wepac.org and ask to be added to our volunteer council list for special opportunities.
