About Us

At Care One Hospice we are committed to offering the highest quality care to our patients. Hospice care is about living life to its fullest, up to the final moment; receiving comfort and care when a cure is no longer possible; surrounding a patient and their loved ones with medical, emotional and spiritual support.

Some important qualities that we are looking for in a volunteer:

-ability to maintain confidentiality

Our volunteers are given thorough training in order to ensure that they are prepared and comfortable enough to go out and give our patients the utmost amount of love and care possible.

We have three main types of volunteer opportunities:

-Administrative support: Filing, computer input, assembling information packets, and phone support.

-Bereavement and spiritual support: support given to grieving family members and or caregivers after the passing of a loved one.

-Patient support: visiting the patient whether it is bedside or active (i.e. going on walks, gardening), reading to them, speaking with them, listening to music, etc. volunteers also may assist the family with errands, household duties, laundry, picking up prescriptions etc.
