    Position Overview

    Cougs 4 Kids is seeking a strategic and collaborative Development & Marketing Team Director (Volunteer) to lead and align the organization’s fundraising, marketing, outreach, engagement, and digital tools functions. This volunteer leadership role plays a pivotal part in advancing our visibility, strengthening donor engagement, and enhancing the digital experience for all stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership & Oversight

    • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure fundraising and marketing efforts are unified and effective.
    • Set annual and quarterly goals aligned with organizational priorities.
    • Establish strategic plans for awareness, fundraising campaigns, and digital engagement.

    Fundraising & Campaign Coordination

    • Support design and execution of giving campaigns and donor cultivation strategies.
    • Ensure fundraising initiatives are powered by clear messaging and integrated technology.
    • Track performance metrics and support continuous improvement.

    Marketing & Storytelling

    • Oversee content calendars, brand assets, email campaigns, and external communications in coordination with team leads.
    • Ensure consistency of messaging and brand identity across platforms.
    • Elevate mission-aligned storytelling to broaden reach and deepen engagement.

    Digital Experience & Analytics

    • Collaborate on optimizing digital user journeys across platforms.
    • Leverage analytics and feedback to refine engagement and fundraising tools.
    • Partner with technology leadership to maintain effective systems and clean data practices.

    Team Management & Culture

    • Facilitate regular team meetings to align on priorities and share progress.
    • Coach and support team leads with clear accountability structures and collaborative tools.
    • Foster a culture of learning, inclusivity, and shared mission focus.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated experience in nonprofit marketing, fundraising, or digital strategy leadership.
    • Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
    • Strong project management, planning, and communication skills.
    • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, analytics, and donor engagement platforms.
    • Commitment to equitable practices and inclusive engagement.
    • Ability to contribute in a remote environment and collaborate across distributed teams.

    Time & Logistics

    This is a volunteer leadership role designed for individuals who can commit approximately 2–3 hours per week. While primarily remote, there may be opportunities for optional in-person collaboration around key initiatives.
