    Museum of Indian Culture – Allentown, PA

    Help bring history, culture, and stories to life—one post at a time.

    The Museum of Indian Culture is seeking a Volunteer Social Media Coordinator to help share the voices, stories, and history of Indigenous peoples with a broader audience. This role plays a key part in keeping our community informed, engaged, and inspired.

    What You’ll Do

    • Create and schedule engaging social media posts across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
    • Highlight museum exhibits, events, and ongoing projects
    • Share interesting and educational content about Indigenous history and culture
    • Keep social media accounts active, consistent, and informative
    • Post and update museum events on community calendars and listing sites
    • Collaborate with museum staff to align messaging and upcoming programming

    What We’re Looking For

    • Strong interest in storytelling, social media, and community engagement
    • Comfortable creating content (text, basic graphics, or reposting existing materials)
    • Organized and able to maintain a consistent posting schedule
    • Respectful interest in Indigenous culture, history, and education
    • Experience with social media management is helpful but not required

    Your work will help educate the public, increase visibility for important cultural initiatives, and connect more people to Indigenous history and experiences.
