    Description

Use your life experience to support families in Somerset County, NJ! Volunteers complete 3 hours of orientation/training and are then matched with a family interested in having regular (weekly/biweekly) home visits. Home visits are meant to support families with young children, preteens, and/or teenagers who may have autism, developmental disabilities, social difficulties, or just need a friendly face to provide support and stability. Families are paired with a volunteer who can listen, coach, provide resources and company. Social workers make in home assessments of families who are requesting these services, and then volunteers are matched based on their time needs, geographic requirements, and the goals a family has.
