    Description

Women’s Circle Program Support Volunteer at Moving to End Sexual Assault (MESA)

Do you enjoy creating warm, welcoming spaces where women can connect, reflect, and build community?

Moving to End Sexual Assault (MESA) hosts a monthly Women’s Circle at our Heart-Centered Yoga Studio in Lafayette. Women’s Circle offers women an opportunity to gather for conversation, reflection, connection, and creative activities in a supportive, survivor-centered space.

We are looking for women age 18 or older to join our Women’s Circle program support team and help us create a comfortable, organized, and welcoming evening for participants.

Women’s Circle is held from 6:15 to 8:45 p.m. Volunteers typically arrive between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. to help prepare the space and stay afterward to help clean and reset the studio.

Women’s Circle is generally held on the fourth Thursday of each month. In November and December, it is held on the second Thursday to accommodate the holidays.

    What you will do:

      1. Help prepare the Heart-Centered Yoga Studio before participants arrive
      2. Set out mats, blankets, chairs, program materials, and activity supplies
      3. Help prepare tea, refreshments, and other hospitality items
      4. Welcome participants and assist with check-in
      5. Help distribute materials and supplies during the evening
      6. Support the facilitator with simple program needs
      7. Help keep the space comfortable, organized, and welcoming
      8. Participate in Women’s Circle while remaining available to assist as needed
      9. Help clean, organize, and reset the studio afterward

    Who we are looking for:

No counseling or clinical experience is required. We are looking for women who are warm, reliable, organized, comfortable interacting with others, and interested in helping create supportive community spaces for women.

Volunteers must be women 18 years of age or older and generally available approximately 5:00/5:30 to 9:00 p.m. on Women’s Circle evenings.

MESA is Boulder County’s sexual violence resource center and provides free and confidential advocacy, support, holistic programming, and community education to people impacted by sexual violence.

If helping us create a meaningful evening of connection and community each month sounds like something you would enjoy, we would love to hear from you.
