    Description

    Help Believe in Me build a consistent, safe, and welcoming volunteer program across scholarships, community partnerships, iLevelUP, Cougs 4 Kids, Legacy Lounge, and organization-wide service.

    The volunteer Volunteer Coordination Director will design and oversee approved recruitment, screening, onboarding, matching, support, recognition, records, and improvement practices while respecting staff and program authority.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain a volunteer strategy, role inventory, recruitment calendar, capacity plan, and service standards
    • Coordinate role approvals, postings, inquiries, screening, references, background checks, orientations, and placements
    • Define consistent privacy, accessibility, safeguarding, boundaries, supervision, incident, and offboarding practices
    • Support program volunteer coordinators and clarify ownership and escalation paths
    • Maintain minimum-necessary records, training completion, service status, feedback, and recognition
    • Monitor response times, retention, capacity, incidents, and volunteer experience
    • Prevent duplicate outreach and ensure program-specific contacts and messaging remain accurate
    • Avoid promising placement, accessing participant data, supervising outside delegated authority, or resolving serious concerns alone
    • Escalate safety, privacy, conduct, discrimination, conflict, or performance issues promptly

    Qualifications:

    • Senior experience in volunteer management, human resources, nonprofit operations, community engagement, youth programs, or program leadership
    • Strong process design, screening, training, supervision, documentation, accessibility, and conflict-management skills
    • Familiarity with remote volunteering, background checks, privacy, safeguarding, and inclusive recruitment
    • At least 25 years old and willing to complete background and reference checks
    • Ability to coordinate across multiple programs and role owners

    This is a remote, recurring leadership role available within the United States. Expect approximately 6–10 hours per month.
