One Planet One People (1POP) is a global nonprofit operating at the intersection of sports, sustainability, and social change. Through our Sustainable Sports Network (SSN) and a portfolio of 40+ customizable programs aligned with the U.N.'s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we work with sports leagues, teams, athletes, corporations, and governments to drive meaningful, measurable improvements in quality of life for kids, people, and the planet.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking passionate, well-connected, mission-driven individuals to join our Sports-for-Good Ambassador program as Volunteers or Interns. This is your chance to sit at the intersection of elite sports and global impact — helping bridge the gap between what sports organizations want to achieve (ESG, EDI, CSR goals) and what the world desperately needs.

If you have existing relationships with professional or collegiate sports athletes, teams, or leagues — and you want to put those connections to work for the greater good — this role was built for you.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

As a Sports-for-Good Ambassador, you can:

• Serve as a frontline liaison between 1POP's Sustainable Sports Network and your sports contacts — including athletes, team front offices, leagues, and sports associations
• Introduce and pitch 1POP's ESG, EDI, and CSR fan-based programs and initiatives to sports organizations looking to deepen their social impact and community engagement
• Support outreach, engagement, and activation campaigns aligned with the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals
• Help design and execute fan-based 'Be the Hero' participation programs within stadiums, arenas, and digital platforms
• Assist in building and managing partnerships with sports leagues, teams, sponsors, and community organizations
• Contribute to content creation, social media, PR, and marketing promotion efforts for the SSN
• Participate in our global Collaboration Think Tank Network — sharing ideas and strategies with partners across 200+ countries
• Support institutional behavioral change initiatives targeting environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and health equity
• Track, document, and report on partnership development activities, outreach results, and engagement metrics

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

REQUIRED

PREFERRED / BONUS

✅ Active, demonstrable connections to professional or collegiate sports (athletes, teams, leagues, agencies, media)

⭐ Background or coursework in Sports Management, Communications, PR, Business, or Social Impact

✅ Passion for social justice, environmental sustainability, and/or youth empowerment

⭐ Experience with CSR, ESG, EDI, or nonprofit programming

✅ Strong written and verbal communication skills

⭐ Familiarity with the UN Sustainable Development Goals

✅ Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently

⭐ Social media marketing or content creation skills

✅ Commitment to collaboration, civility, and inclusion

⭐ Multilingual abilities (global scope preferred)
