    Description

    The After-School Program Volunteer supports a structured, safe, and engaging after-school environment for children in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade residing in a transitional family shelter. The volunteer works closely with the Group Leader and instructors to assist with daily activities, academic support, and classroom management while serving as a positive role model for students. The Volunteer will report to the Program Site Supervisor during their internship.

    This position will be a part of our Youth and Family Services offered at Sunnyside Community Services, which includes a pre-kindergarten program, after-school programs for elementary and middle school youth, high school job readiness, career readiness, and enrichment programming and Adult and Immigrant Services.
