    Description

Remote · Flexible hours · Project Hub #5 · Focus: community tech education, sponsorship proposals

SoHoLINK Seeds is a 12-week course NTARI brings to a sponsoring community: ten participants are paid $3,600 each while they prepare for an entry-level IT certification (CompTIA A+ is the working example), learn on real hardware in small classes built around discussion, and finish by installing SoHoLINK — open-source software that lets ordinary computers earn passive income by renting out spare storage and processing power. The machines students set up in the final week keep earning for the host venue after graduation. The ask is $70,000 per course, plus a classroom and ten computers.

You'll write sponsorship proposals to community foundations, libraries, workforce boards, and companies — for communities that want technology proficiency spread among neighbors and internet infrastructure (and its fees) kept local rather than shipped to a distant data center. A complete program template exists: schedule, line-item budget, participant outcomes, and metrics.

Good fit for a writer who likes a concrete, replicable community program with visible payoffs. Remote via NTARI's Slack grant desk, with peer review before submission.
