    Mission / About Us:

    Blueprint for Womanhood (BFW) is a culturally grounded rites-of-passage program serving Black girls and their families in Metro Phoenix. Our mission is to support Black girls in developing confidence, leadership skills, cultural awareness, and a strong sense of self as they transition from Black girlhood into Black womanhood. BFW is the flagship impact program of Life Paradigms, Inc., a women-led nonprofit dedicated to educating and empowering Black youth and their families through leadership development, culture, advocacy, and the arts.

    What Volunteers Will Do (Initial / Soft-Launch Roles):

    We are currently inviting volunteers to help us support the mission of Blueprint for Womanhood. Early opportunities may include:

    • Supporting program logistics and event preparation
    • Assisting with community engagement efforts
    • Helping with administrative or communications tasks
    • Learning about culturally grounded leadership and youth development

    Note: We are in the process of building out formal onboarding and project management systems. By signing up now, you’ll be among the first to engage with BFW and help shape volunteer experiences as we grow.

    Who We’re Looking For:

    • Individuals committed to supporting Black girls and their families
    • Volunteers who are patient, reliable, and willing to learn
    • People with respect for cultural grounding, youth leadership development, and community-centered work

    1. Review the Opportunity
    • Make sure you understand that this is a relationship-centered, culturally grounded program.
    • Volunteer roles are currently flexible and may include:
      • Supporting program logistics and events
      • Assisting with community engagement
      • Helping with administrative or communications tasks
    • This is a soft launch, and formal onboarding systems are still being developed.
    1. Submit Your Application
    • Complete the VolunteerMatch application, including any screening questions we have provided.
    • Be honest and thoughtful in your responses—your answers help us assess alignment with our mission and values.
    1. After You Submit
    • We will review applications on a rolling basis.
    • Selected applicants will be contacted via email with next steps, which may include:
      • A brief orientation call
      • Assignment to early volunteer opportunities
      • Guidance on expectations and training materials
    1. Expectations for Volunteers
    • Demonstrate cultural humility, respect, and accountability toward the Black girls, families, and communities we serve.
    • Be reliable and responsive once selected.
    • Approach volunteer work with a willingness to learn and a commitment to program values.
