    About Us

Life Paradigms, Inc. is a women-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Metro Phoenix. Our primary impact program, Blueprint for Womanhood, is a culturally grounded rites of passage initiative serving Black girls and their families. For over three decades, Blueprint for Womanhood has supported Black girls in developing confidence, leadership skills, cultural awareness, and a strong sense of self as they transition from Black girlhood into Black womanhood.

Our work is rooted in the belief that Black girls deserve spaces that affirm their identities, honor their lived experiences, and support their holistic development. We approach leadership development through culture, community, and intergenerational connection; centering joy, self-worth, and accountability rather than deficit-based narratives.

Volunteers at Life Paradigms support this mission through a variety of roles, including program support, event assistance, administrative support, and community engagement. Whether working directly with youth or supporting behind the scenes, volunteers are expected to engage with cultural humility, consistency, and respect for the community we serve.

This is a relationship-centered program, not a one-time volunteer experience. We value alignment, commitment, and a willingness to learn as part of a Black-led, community-rooted organization.
