    Description

    Foster Your Future is seeking a skilled and reliable volunteer to support ongoing development and maintenance of our WordPress website. The Website Support Volunteer will play an important role in keeping the website up-to-date, engaging, and easy to navigate.

    Responsibilities

    1. Website Maintenance
    • Working closely with FYF content developers, make regular content updates to existing pages (text, images, links, etc.)
    • Revise on-line versions of forms and applications
    • Revise design elements to ensure site-wide consistency
    • Troubleshoot layout or plugin issues as they arise
    • Ensure mobile responsiveness and accessibility across devices
    1. On-going Website Development
    • Improve user experience of the online mentor resource center
    • Create new forms
    • Create new pages and sections
    • Create new design elements on existing pages
    • Help create and maintain a portal for young adults to track program goals outcomes and financial information
    1. Support FYF’s on-line campaigns through integrations with FYF’s online fundraising platform
    2. Maintain FYF’s Website Management document, Site Map document and Website Update Matrix

    Skills

    • Demonstrated experience with WordPress, including editing pages and working with plugins
    • Familiarity form builders
    • Knowledge of Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools
    • Ability to quickly learn new tools and software, familiarity with Flipcause a plus
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with team members

    Reporting

    The Website Support Volunteer will report to the Chief Operating Officer and work closely with the Social Media team and other support volunteers.
