About the Role
We’re searching for an organized, reliable, and mission-driven Community & Operations Coordinator to help keep our rapidly growing nonprofit moving forward.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping people, creating order out of chaos, building relationships, and making sure important things don’t fall through the cracks.
You’ll work directly with our leadership team and play a critical role in helping us serve more veterans and families.
This position is volunteer to start with the goal of becoming a paid position as the organization grows and funding allows.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and organizing email communications
- Scheduling meetings, calls, and events
- Following up with donors, supporters, volunteers, and partners
- Helping maintain our CRM and contact databases
- Tracking action items from meetings
- Sending reminders and follow-up communications
- Assisting with volunteer coordination
- Supporting fundraising and partnership outreach efforts
- Helping improve organizational systems and workflows
- Keeping projects moving forward and leadership informed
What We’re Looking For
You do not need to be a veteran.

You do not need a perfect résumé.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is highly organized
- Proficient with the digital world, experience in Salesforce CRM is helpful.
- Communicates professionally and compassionately
- Takes initiative

- Can manage multiple tasks at once
- Believes in our mission
Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required:
- Virtual assistant work
- Administrative support
- Project management
- Nonprofit operations
- Customer service
- Salesforce or CRM systems
- Google Workspace
- Email management
Time Commitment
Approximately 5 to 15 hours per week depending on availability.
This role is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere in the United States.
