Community Relationship Builder for Local Dog Rescue

One of the hardest parts of running a rescue alone is knowing how many opportunities you're missing simply because you can't be in two places at once.

For the past eighteen months, I've been focused on saving dogs, finding adopters, supporting fosters, fundraising, transporting animals, managing paperwork, and keeping everything moving forward. There are so many businesses, schools, churches, community groups, and local events I would love to connect with—but there simply aren't enough hours in the day.

That's why I'm looking for someone to help become the face of Legacy Paws in the community.

Legacy Paws Rescue is a veteran-owned 501(c)(3) dog rescue and sanctuary in Catawba, North Carolina, and we are looking for a local volunteer who loves people, believes in our mission, and wants to help build meaningful community connections.

This isn't a desk job.

This is for someone who enjoys conversations, networking, attending events, introducing themselves to people, and creating relationships that can grow into long-term support for the rescue.

You might be a great fit if you're the kind of person who naturally talks to people everywhere you go.

Responsibilities may include:

• Representing Legacy Paws at community events
• Building relationships with local businesses and organizations
• Connecting with schools, churches, and civic groups
• Identifying partnership and sponsorship opportunities
• Helping recruit volunteers, fosters, adopters, and supporters
• Sharing our mission throughout the community
• Serving as a bridge between Legacy Paws and the people we hope to reach

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who genuinely believes in building community.

Legacy Paws has always been about more than rescuing dogs. We're working to create a community of kindness where people and animals are seen, valued, and supported.

The right person won't just help us spread awareness.

They'll help us build relationships that strengthen the rescue for years to come.

Because this role involves building local connections, applicants should live in or near Catawba County, North Carolina.
