LEGACY PAWS RESCUE

Legacy Paws Rescue is a veteran-owned 501(c)(3) nonprofit dog rescue and sanctuary on five acres in Catawba, North Carolina. We take in dogs that have run out of options — abandoned, neglected, and overlooked — and we give them the time, space, and care to heal. In eighteen months we have rescued and rehomed 17 dogs with no staff, no board, and no grant funding. Every single one placed. Every single one alive.

We are actively seeking skilled volunteers to help us build the infrastructure this rescue needs to survive and grow. If that is you, we want to hear from you.

Legacy Paws Rescue is run entirely by one person. One veteran, one five-acre sanctuary, and an unwillingness to leave any dog behind.

The dogs who come to us arrive with stories. Some were abandoned on roadsides. Some came from neglect. Some spent years in conditions that left marks that take time and patience to undo. We take them all in, figure out who they are, and fight for them until they are safe and in the right home.

It is working. But one person cannot do it alone forever. We need skilled volunteers who are willing to show up for a rescue that has already proven it will not stop — and help us build the foundation that keeps it going.
