    Join Empowerment Avenue's  Writing for Liberation Editorial Council

    Join our movement! If you’re a storyteller, editor, or journalist with a commitment to justice, your skills can make a real impact. Joining our Editorial Council means partnering with incarcerated writers to move stories from inside prisons into the public conversation, one story at a time.

    We’re looking for people with:

    • Strong editing skills or experience in journalism or freelance writing
    • Compassion and openness to working across prison walls
    • Connections to news, magazine, or online publishers
    • A commitment to preserving each writer’s authentic voice
