Volunteer Website Designer & UX Specialist for a New Nonprofit Initiative

We are looking for one or more volunteer website designers and UX specialists to help launch an exciting new initiative for our nonprofit.

We already have a web developer. We're looking for someone who enjoys creating intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing online experiences and wants to help shape a project from the ground up.

This project includes designing the complete user experience, from the first visit to registration, participation, and completion.

What you'll help create

• Beautiful, modern web pages
• An intuitive registration and sign-up process
• User-friendly forms and participant workflows
• A simple process for participants to submit and track their progress
• Clear information architecture and navigation
• A database structure for participant information
• Integration with MailerLite (or a similar email platform) for automated communications
• Planning for future Shopify integration
• An overall experience that is polished, simple, and enjoyable to use

We're looking for someone who enjoys thinking through how people interact with a website and finding ways to make every step feel effortless.

Experience that would be helpful

• Website or UX/UI design
• Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design tools
• Website builders such as WordPress, Webflow, Wix Studio, Squarespace, or Shopify
• User registration flows and online forms
• Email marketing platforms such as MailerLite or Mailchimp
• Experienced front-end development and/or HTML/CSS is requried

You also do not need to be a hiker or have any outdoor experience. We're looking for someone with design and UX skills who enjoys building something meaningful.

This is a flexible volunteer opportunity. Whether you have a few weeks to help us launch or would like to stay involved longer, we'd love to hear from you.
