    Description

The Justice for James Irby Sr. Foundation seeks a volunteer communicator who can help tell the stories of people affected by unsolved violent crime with accuracy, dignity, and purpose. Our first case honors James Anthony Irby Sr.; our broader mission is to stand with other families seeking answers.

    What you’ll do

    • Draft and edit approved press materials, statements, and outreach messages.
    • Maintain a list of relevant journalists, podcasts, and community media.
    • Help prepare spokesperson talking points and media background materials.
    • Track coverage and requests for interviews.
    • Ensure public materials reflect confirmed information and each family’s approved boundaries.

We’re looking for strong writing and judgment. Journalism, public relations, nonprofit communications, or victim advocacy experience is helpful.
