Help Us Grow: Join the MTMNE Board

Mentoring to Manhood New England (MTMNE) is looking for active, committed people to join our Board of Directors and help us grow.

Since 2008, MTMNE has provided group mentoring for teenage boys, with trained volunteer mentors creating a safe place where boys can talk openly about the challenges they face and develop the skills and confidence they need as they grow into young men.

We are a small nonprofit with established school programs and ambitious plans for growth. Other Boys to Men organizations around the country now serve a dozen or more schools. We would like to bring that kind of reach to more communities in New England.

We are looking for board members who want to be actively involved—not simply attend meetings. Depending on your interests and experience, you might help with fundraising, community outreach, marketing, professional guidance, building relationships with schools, or strengthening the organization itself.

We are particularly interested in people with experience in fundraising, marketing and communications, law, education, mental health or youth development, nonprofit management, and community leadership. But you don't need to fit one of those categories. Commitment to our mission and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and help are what matter most.

Our Board meets online once a month for 60–90 minutes. We also try to get together in person for a couple of hours once in the spring and once in the fall.
