    Description

    T-shirt to Tote Project

This project was started to reduce the number of plastic bags found in or near the Red River.

Volunteers turn donated T-shirts into reusable totes by cutting the sleeves and collar off, sewing or tying the bottom of T-shirts into a tote, and labeling the tote.

Volunteers can choose to sign up to any number of the following tasks:

    • Cut and tie T-shirts into totes
    • Cut and sew T-shirts into totes (if you own a sewing machine)
    • Label finished totes with River Keepers logo.
    • Donate gently used T-shirts
    • Distribute totes at local events

Getting trained in for this project is easy! You can read step by step written instructions (attached) or watch a how to video here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=reGGEdTEImA&t=2s

Once signed up, River Keepers will be in contact with you within three business days to schedule a day and time to pick up supplies from River Keepers office.
