    Pro Bono Volunteer Engagement Coordinator (Support Staff)

    Role Overview

    The Volunteer Engagement Specialist provides vital operational support to the Volunteer Directorate. This role focuses on the day-to-day execution of initiatives that foster a positive volunteer culture, ensuring that recognition, communication, and feedback programs are maintained consistently and to a high standard.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Metric Tracking & Reporting: Consistently track volunteer satisfaction metrics and assist in compiling reports on program outcomes to measure the health of the volunteer community.
    • Initiative Coordination: Execute volunteer recognition programs, assist in the logistics of event planning, and support the distribution of volunteer communications.
    • Feedback Administration: Support the analysis of volunteer feedback to help the organization understand community needs and sentiments.
    • Process Improvement: Identify daily operational challenges and propose practical improvements to the Deputy Director to enhance program efficiency.
    • Documentation Maintenance: Ensure all operational procedures and documentation related to engagement activities are up to date and accessible.

    Position Details

    • Type: Volunteer
    • Location: Remote.
    • Time Commitment: Approximately 3-5 hours per week
    • Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Director of Volunteers
      • Alternate Report: Chief Volunteer Officers
    • Term: Six months to one-year commitment.

    • Organizational Skills: Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain detailed records.
    • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Google Workspace, Flowlu, and various communication platforms.
    • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with a professional and positive tone in all interactions.
    • Reliability: Commitment to a regular schedule and the timely completion of assigned tasks.

    The Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization committed to guiding military service members, veterans, and their spouses toward excellence in project management. We aim to build a strong, supportive community through mentorship, networking, and professional development, and we strongly believe in the transformative power of project management skills for veterans.
