    Description

Volunteer Opportunity: Financial Management Advisor (CPA or Accounting Professional)

Dorcas Destiny International is seeking a volunteer with experience in accounting, finance, or nonprofit financial management to help strengthen our financial reporting and internal controls.

As our organization continues to grow, we are preparing for larger grant opportunities, expanded corporate partnerships, and future capital initiatives. We recently transitioned from Aplos to QuickBooks Online and would value an experienced professional who can review our historical financial reports, assess our current financial management practices, and provide practical recommendations for improvement.

This is an advisory role—not bookkeeping, tax preparation, or a financial audit. We are looking for someone who can help us strengthen our financial stewardship, reporting practices, and organizational readiness through an objective review and actionable recommendations.

Because we are preparing a significant grant proposal due September 1, we hope to begin this project as soon as possible. The estimated commitment is approximately 2–5 hours per week for several weeks, with flexibility based on your availability.

Your expertise will help strengthen the financial foundation behind programs that provide daily meals for more than 700 children, educational support, orphan care, and assistance to vulnerable families in Kenya, East Africa.
