    Description

    AfroSabor is seeking a volunteer Content & Publishing Coordinator to help support the organization’s social media and content operations.

    AfroSabor is a Black-centered Afro-Latin cultural organization based in New York City focused on community, belonging, and cultural preservation through dance, music, and social experiences. We host socials, workshops, and community gatherings that center connection, joy, and cultural identity.

    This role focuses on consistency, organization, and execution. The coordinator will help manage content scheduling, organize publishing timelines, and support the flow of content across AfroSabor’s platforms.

    Responsibilities

    • Schedule and publish social media content
    • Help organize monthly content calendars
    • Coordinate with photographers, editors, and designers
    • Track deadlines and publishing timelines
    • Assist with captions, formatting, and post preparation
    • Support communication around upcoming events and announcements

    Qualifications

    • Organized and dependable
    • Strong communication skills
    • Comfortable using social media platforms such as Instagram
    • Interest in culture, arts, community-building, or storytelling
    • Ability to commit approximately 3–5 hours per week

    This is a volunteer role ideal for someone looking to gain experience in community-centered marketing, cultural programming, or nonprofit operations while contributing to a growing grassroots organization.
