Description
Overview of Position: Helps create and carry out the development plan and activities of the agency
Benefits to the Volunteer: Being part of a great team of people working to fund important programs and services
Specific Tasks:
- to assist the agency in creating and executing a development plan to ensure the financial stability of the organization,
- to make recommendations regarding fundraising events and campaigns,
- to raise funds for the organization through personal giving, as well as solicitation from businesses, individuals, and foundations,
- to serve as a resource and support for staff and volunteers,
- to serve as ambassadors and information-providers to the community, keeping TIHAN connected to our constituents and partners, and
- other duties as needed
Time Required: 4-10 hours/month
Qualifications/Experience:
Preferred: previous experience serving on a non-profit board or development committee, background in fundraising
