Description
- Elgin's Food for Seniors program delivers and distributes pre-packaged Food Boxes to local senior citizens in need. We distribute/deliver on the second and fourth Friday of each month. Typically the time investment is 1 to 2 hours, depending on how many boxes you sign-up to deliver.
- This is a NO CONTACT delivery.
- Volunteer driver pulls up to the food pantry.
- Volunteers load the cars.
- Driver will be given the delivery sheets for the number of boxes they have requested.
- Deliveries are mapped in one general area for convenience.
- Each box weighs about 20 - 25 lbs.
- Pick-up between 1:30 pm & 2:00 pm.
