    Position Summary:

    The Grant Writer is responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies to support the organization's programs and initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Research and identify potential funding sources that align with organizational goals and program needs.
    • Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents.
    • Collaborate with program staff to gather information about projects, budgets, outcomes, and impact data.
    • Maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines, reporting requirements, and renewal dates.
    • Prepare required progress reports and final reports for funded grants.
    • Maintain accurate records of all grant submissions, awards, and communications with funders.
    • Build and maintain relationships with program officers and foundation representatives.
    • Monitor grant compliance and ensure funds are used according to funder requirements.
    • Stay current on trends in philanthropy and the nonprofit sector.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Nonprofit Management, or related field.
    • Minimum 1-2 years of professional grant writing experience required.
    • Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills
    • Strong project management and organizational abilities
    • Ability to translate complex program information into clear, persuasive narratives
    • Proficiency with grants management software and Microsoft Office
    • Understanding of nonprofit budgeting and financial statements
    • Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines
