Description
Come out to Washburn to help maintain the school district’s existing school gardens that include a vegetable garden, orchard, bioswale, butterfly garden, habitat field, high tunnel, school forest, and aquaponics lab on the grounds of the Washburn School District. Volunteers will work the full-time district garden caretaker in all parts of care of this area. From mowing, weeding, trimming, building raised beds, mulching, planning, planting, maintaining, and harvesting vegetable, trees, and native plantings. Get your hands dirty to help continue to provide this important resource for the school staff, students, and community. Want more information, call us today.
