    About Philly Peace in Progress

    Philly Peace in Progress is a community‑centered nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth, families, and neighborhoods through education, outreach, and supportive programming. We are building a strong volunteer‑driven team committed to making a meaningful impact across Philadelphia.

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a motivated, dedicated, and eager‑to‑learn Training & Onboarding Support Volunteer to assist with essential human resource processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others succeed, wants hands‑on HR experience, and is excited to contribute to a mission‑driven team.

    You will play a key part in welcoming new volunteers, supporting interviews, and helping build the systems that keep our organization running smoothly.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support volunteer interviews, including scheduling, coordination, and periodic participation
    • Assist with training new volunteers and guiding them through onboarding steps
    • Help create and update onboarding materials, policies, and documentation
    • Maintain organized records and support Google Drive file management
    • Collaborate with leadership to strengthen volunteer engagement and onboarding quality
    • Contribute ideas that improve training processes and volunteer experience

    • Comfortable communicating with diverse groups of people
    • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks
