    Support Dementia Education - Volunteer with the Glenner Centers

    Make a lasting impact by supporting our Education Department-help behind the scenes and at events to ensure families and professionals receive the knowledge and tools they need for compassionate dementia care.

    At George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Centers, Inc.(r), we believe that knowledge is power-especially when it comes to caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Our mission is to provide affordable, accessible adult day care and critical support services to families across San Diego County. Through innovative care, education, and advocacy, we empower both caregivers and the wider community. The goals of our education are to elicit empathy for those with dementia and their caregivers, to provide knowledge and support the application and retention of that knowledge. We believe that knowledge is power-especially when it comes to understanding and caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia

    We’re currently seeking compassionate and detail-oriented volunteers to support our Education Department. Your time and talents will directly contribute to improving the lives of caregivers, families, and healthcare professionals through better access to training and information.

    Volunteers will assist the Education team in two key areas:

    • Administrative Support: Scanning, organizing, and entering data to help maintain vital training and program records.
    • Event Support: Lending a hand during specialized trainings, workshops, or educational events by helping with setup, materials, and participant coordination.

    Location & Schedule

    • This volunteer role is based at our Chula Vista center
    • We are looking for volunteers available Thursdays anytime between 9 AM - 5 PM
