The George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Centers Inc.

  • Mission

George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Centers, Inc. offer volunteer opportunities for kind, compassionate individuals interested in making a difference in the life of seniors in San Diego County. The mission of our program is to recruit, train, educate & connect volunteers with seniors affected by Alzheimer's or various forms of Dementia attending one of our three Glenner Day Centers with the goal of decreasing senior isolation. Our Guardian Angels fill that gap & provide a wonderful opportunity for companionship and understand socialization is a vital part of our well being.

    About Us

Since 2001, the Glenner Centers have supported and overseen the growth of the GA program. We strive not only to eliminate senior isolation, but to also educate the community on topics related to Alzheimer and Dementia, seniors and aging.

This program is ideally for those 16 and older, we do ask that those under 18 have have an accompanying adult, and legal guardian signatures on the Livescan forms that are required by each volunteer for background check purposes, each volunteer would also need to get a TB Test and have proof of COVID vaccine.
