    Description

Volunteer Full-Stack Developer — Wellness Portal & Digital Tools

Army Pink is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer to help lead the development of our Wellness Portal and a growing suite of digital tools designed to support survivors after accessing our Freedom Rides program.

We already have a UI/UX designer and front-end development support in place. We are looking for a strong back-end/full-stack developer who can step into the project, understand the existing work, and help move the technical development forward.

    What You’ll Help Build

The Wellness Portal is part of Army Pink’s Pathway to Freedom model and is designed to provide survivors with accessible resources, healing tools, and practical next steps after their ride to safety.

    The project includes developing:

    • The Wellness Portal and its underlying functionality
    • Interactive digital survivor resources and tools
    • Resource directories and guided pathways
    • Forms and user interactions
    • Optional resource-saving/email functionality
    • Survey and feedback functionality
    • Integrations between front-end tools and back-end services
    • Secure data handling and appropriate privacy protections
    • APIs and database functionality as needed
    • Additional digital tools that will become part of Army Pink’s survivor-support ecosystem

    Ideal Skills

We're looking for someone with strong experience in areas such as:

    • Full-stack web development
    • Back-end development and architecture
    • JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks
    • API development and integrations
    • Database design and management
    • Authentication/user management where applicable
    • Cloud-based development and deployment
    • Secure application development and data privacy
    • Forms, surveys, and data workflows
    • Testing, debugging, and deployment
    • Git/GitHub and collaborative development
    • Working with existing codebases and technical documentation

Experience with React/Next.js, Node.js, Python, SQL, REST APIs, cloud platforms, or similar technologies is helpful, but we're most interested in finding someone who can understand the existing technical environment and help lead the project toward completion.

    What We’re Looking For

This is an important project, so we're looking for someone who is responsive, dependable, collaborative, and comfortable taking ownership of technical development. You'll work closely with our existing UI/UX and front-end volunteers and help establish a sustainable technical foundation for the Wellness Portal and future digital tools.

Experience working with nonprofits, social-impact technology, survivor-serving organizations, or privacy-sensitive applications is a plus.

    Volunteer Opportunity: Full-Stack / Back-End Developer

Project: Army Pink Wellness Portal & Digital Survivor Tools

    Team: Technology / Wellness Portal

Commitment: Volunteer, with flexibility based on availability

If you're interested in using your technical skills to help build practical digital resources for survivors, we'd love to hear from you.
