    Healthcare Administrative Support

    Description

    This summer engagement opportunity offers hands-on experience in healthcare administration, providing exposure to patient services coordination, compliance processes, and interdisciplinary team support. The intern will work closely with office staff and clinical leadership to help ensure efficient, compassionate care delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing degrees in healthcare administration, public health, business administration, or a related field who are interested in the operational side of healthcare and end-of-life care services.

    Responsibilities

    The Healthcare Admin will assist with administrative support tasks, including data entry, filing, and document management. They must be able to maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies regarding patient confidentiality and participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. The healthcare admin will also assist in preparing reports, spreadsheets, and presentations as needed and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to understand hospice operations.

    Qualifications

    • Participate in continuing education and in-service learning as required by the agency.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
    • Interest in hospice, palliative care, or healthcare operations is preferred
    • Meet and exceed the delivery of Company service standards and operate under the company's code of conduct.
