Volunteers support Paint for Progress by helping run youth art programs in a welcoming, safe, and organized environment. Responsibilities may include assisting instructors during art activities, helping set up and clean up materials, supporting students one-on-one or in small groups, and encouraging creativity and participation. Volunteers may also help with basic organization tasks, such as preparing supplies, managing transitions between activities, and ensuring students are engaged and supported throughout the day.
As volunteers gain experience, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibility, such as leading small activities, mentoring younger students, or helping coordinate workshops. All volunteers are expected to be reliable, patient, and respectful, and to work collaboratively with other volunteers and program leaders.
English proficiency is required to communicate with students and staff; additional languages are a plus.
