    Description

    CREA is seeking a passionate volunteer Math Instructor to support adult Spanish-speaking students preparing for their GED. Classes are conducted entirely in Spanish, so fluency in Spanish is required. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by helping students strengthen their math skills and achieve their educational goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Teach math concepts aligned with the GED curriculum in Spanish
    • Prepare lesson plans
    • Support students in understanding and applying math skills
    • Encourage student engagement and confidence in learning
    • Collaborate with CREA staff to track student progress

    Qualifications:

    • Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written)
    • Currently enrolled in college or a college graduate
    • Willingness to help and support the community
    • Highly responsible and reliable
    • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward adult learners

    Time Commitment:

    • Once a week
    • Minimum commitment of one semester
