    Directions

SEVA Travelers offers six host organizations to choose from in Cambodia, located across Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Boeung Kak, and Ek Phnom. These placements provide volunteers the opportunity to contribute to initiatives focused on child protection, education, health care, women’s empowerment, and sustainable community development. Volunteers will work with dedicated NGOs that are strengthening their organizational capacity through fundraising strategy, leadership development, and monitoring and evaluation systems, while immersing themselves in Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage and resilient communities.

These vetted and verified NGOs include:

Mother’s Heart Organization – Phnom Penh

Cambodia’s first and only crisis pregnancy support program, Mother’s Heart provides counseling, social work, and medical care to vulnerable women facing unplanned pregnancies. Volunteers will help develop a comprehensive fundraising plan to diversify income streams, design a Monitoring, Learning, and Evaluation system to track impact, and provide leadership coaching to strengthen the Senior Management Team.

Children’s Future International – Ek Phnom

Focused on child protection and education, Children’s Future International provides access to learning, nutrition, and safety for vulnerable children in rural Cambodia. Volunteers will support the organization in individual donor management, fundraising training for local staff, board engagement, and improving monitoring and evaluation systems to enhance transparency and effectiveness.

Cambodian Rural Development Team (CRDT) – Phnom Penh

Dedicated to environmental conservation and rural livelihood improvement, CRDT helps communities protect natural resources while improving living standards. Volunteers will offer hands-on training and consulting support to strengthen fundraising capacity, donor engagement, and storytelling that highlights CRDT’s impact across Cambodia’s rural regions.

Salvation Centre Cambodia – Boeung Kak

A nonprofit addressing poverty alleviation, education, and community empowerment through sustainable programs. Volunteers will help train the team in proposal and report writing, donor outreach, and low-cost fundraising strategies. They will also help create templates, tools, and storytelling materials that communicate impact effectively to funders.

Opening Doors Cambodia – Siem Reap

An education nonprofit providing free English language instruction to children from low-income families. Volunteers will assist in developing fundraising strategies to close the organization’s annual budget gap, strengthen donor relationships, and improve messaging to attract sustained international support.

Angkor Hospital for Children – Siem Reap

One of Cambodia’s leading pediatric hospitals, Angkor Hospital for Children provides free, high-quality medical care to thousands of children each year. Volunteers may support the hospital’s development team in building fundraising systems, crafting donor engagement materials, and identifying grant opportunities to sustain life-saving services.

Each of these inspiring organizations has identified its unique capacity-building goals and consulting needs. For detailed Skilled Volunteer Project Descriptions, please visit the Current Projects page at https://www.sevatravelers.org/cambodiaprojects
