    Description

    Mission-fit summary

Salix Compass is a fiscally sponsored nonprofit initiative helping patients and clinics navigate the administrative barriers that delay access to life-saving medications. We are looking for a volunteer who can help with medication access support, patient navigation, and related healthcare coordination work.

    Description

This role helps support patients who face delays, denials, and administrative friction when trying to access prescribed medications. Volunteers may assist with organizing medication access workflows, preparing patient assistance materials, tracking follow-up items, and supporting clinic-facing navigation tasks.

This is a great fit for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with structured workflows, and interested in improving access to care. The work is remote and flexible, and it directly supports Salix Compass’s mission to reduce administrative burden and help people get the medications they need sooner.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with medication access workflow support.
    • Help prepare and organize patient assistance materials.
    • Support follow-up tracking and resource coordination.
    • Assist with clinic-facing navigation tasks as assigned.
    • Help keep information organized and current.

    Time commitment

2 to 6 hours per week, flexible and remote.

    Qualifications

    • Interest in healthcare access, pharmacy, or patient support.
    • Comfort working with structured workflows and administrative tasks.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and follow through.
    • Prior healthcare, pharmacy, community health, or patient support experience is helpful but not required.
