    About the Opportunity

    Join LekhanKala's vibrant global volunteer community and help ignite the potential of children and youth through education, creativity, and leadership.

    LekhanKala is an independent nonprofit educational organization based in Nepal dedicated to empowering children, young people, educators, and families through creative writing, storytelling, school journalism, media and information literacy, digital citizenship, and youth leadership.

    We invite passionate volunteers from every corner of the globe to use their unique talents to spark real change. Whether you are a student, educator, writer, journalist, designer, researcher, communications specialist, fundraiser, or nonprofit professional, your skills can open new doors for children and young people.

    Volunteer Opportunities

    Volunteers may contribute in one or more of the following areas:

    Responsibilities

    Depending on your interests and experience, you may:

    • Support educational projects and school-based programs.
    • Develop learning resources and training materials.
    • Assist with research, writing, editing, and communications.
    • Mentor students and young writers.
    • Design graphics, presentations, or digital content.
    • Support international partnerships and fundraising initiatives.
    • Contribute to awareness campaigns promoting literacy, child wellbeing, digital citizenship, and healthy, drug-free schools.
    • Collaborate with volunteers and partners from different countries.

    Qualifications

    We welcome volunteers from all countries and backgrounds. Ideal volunteers are:

    • Passionate about education, children, youth, or community development.
    • Creative, responsible, and self-motivated.
    • Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively.
    • Willing to contribute their skills and ideas to meaningful projects.

    Previous volunteer experience is welcome but not required.
